What to Expect at Our Wicker Park Dental Office

Some people feel uneasy visiting a new dentist for the first time, that’s why we strive to make that process simple and comfortable.

Once you arrive to your first appointment, our staff will greet you and answer any questions you may have. Your dentist will come to meet you and discuss any concerns that you may have prior to moving to the treatment area.

During your appointment, we will take dental x-rays to screen for conditions not visible during a clinical exam. Every finding will be thoroughly explained, so that you have a complete understanding of the condition surrounding your smile.

If you are anxious about your dental experience we have solutions to help distract you and put you at ease. Sedation is a simple and easy way to help our anxious patients relax during their appointments… even if it is an exam.

There are no unexpected surprises.

Planning for Your Visit

Please arrive on-time for your appointment, as we practice short wait times and reserve one hour for your initial visit, (timing is usually less). There is convenient street parking out the front of the practice for the duration of your visit.

It is very quick to register a new patient. New patient forms can be completed online prior to your appointment, or via ipad at our practice within a few minutes.

Please bring any insurance information with you.

Financing and Payment

In general, most insurance plans cover preventive care and basic procedures bi-annually, (like routine oral examinations, x-rays, general cleanings, topical fluoride treatment and sealants), so your New Patient Exam should be covered. But it’s uncommon to find insurance that covers major dental work past a certain dollar amount.

Should you require any treatment, we will communicate our billing and service fees (in a discrete area, away from other patients), so that there is no confusion about planning for your dental care.

We offer the following payment services:

  • We discuss estimated costs before treatment.
  • We offer convenient payment options to suit everyone’s individual dental needs.
  • We help you understand insurance coverage and benefits.
  • We submit your claims to your insurance company.

Insurances accepted:

  • Aetna
  • Ameritas
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Cigna
  • Delta Dental
  • Dentemax
  • Guardian
  • Metlife
  • United Healthcare
  • All PPO Dental Insurance plans
